Alexander Golikov

Alexander Golikov is a Russian trumpet player, conductor, teacher and arranger. Artistic director of the La Corde string quartet and the Friendly Brass ensemble, arranger and trumpet player of the Olympic Brass ensemble, chief conductor of the Olympic Brass Orchestra, Olympic Symphony Orchestra, conductor of the St. Petersburg Ballet Festival. Artistic director of the brass band and teacher at the Secondary Special Music School of the St.Petersburg Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov

Biography

Alexander Golikov was born in 1985 in the city of Gorky. He graduated at the Nizhny Novgorod Choral Chapel of boys they. L. K. Sivukhin and Nizhny Novgorod musical College named. M. A. Balakirev. In 2009 he formed the Friendly Brass ensemble , and in 2011 became a member of the Olympic Brass ensemble as a trumpet player and arranger. During this time, more than 200 arrangements were created, many programs and concert scripts . Since 2017 - Chief Conductor of the Olympic Brass Orchestra , and since 2018 - the Olympic Symphony Orchestra. Since 2017 he has been collaborating with the St. Petersburg Festival Ballet Company as an orchestra conductor. The collective's repertoire includes the following ballets: The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Giselle and The Nutcracker, which was successfully presented at the Christmas theater (Athens, Greece) in December 2018. Conducted concert programs with the participation of the opera and ballet soloists of the Mariinsky Theater V. Gerello, I. Selivanov, E. Osmolkina, V. Tereshkina, T. Askerov, F. Stepin.

 

Since 2017, Alexander Golikov has been a teacher and conductor of the brass band at the Secondary Special Music School of the St.Petersburg Conservatory. N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, who became the laureate of the All-Russian competition of brass bands "Vivat student" (Moscow, 2018) and laureates of the 1st degree of the competition of brass bands "Immortal Orchestra" (Kaliningrad 2019)

In 2020, the La Corde string quartet was created under the leadership of Alexander Golikov .
